Before you being this tutorial -- it is important that you have downloaded Google Earth and have installed it on your computer.

http://earth.google.com/

Step 1: Launch the Google Earth Software

Step 2: On the left hand side, you will see a Fly To Search Box. Please type your complete school address in that spot and then click on the magnifying glass. Google Earth will begin searching for the address.

Step 3: Once it has zoomed into your location, look to the top tool bar and click on the 2nd icon (a yellow pushpin). It will then place a placemark OVER your location. If you need to move it, you can do so now.

Step 4: In the large window, please type your school name and if you wish to change the color of your placemark, click on the yellow pushpin to choose a new look.

Step 5: In the large textbox area, pleas share information about your classroom, your school, your city, and your state.

Step 6: If you wish to add a picture, you will need to copy paste this code:

<img src="http://WHERE THE LOCATION OF
YOUR PICTURE IS ON THE INTERNET NEEDS TO GO HERE">

(for example: <img src="http://www.technospud.com/mac/1101a.gif">

Step 8: Click on FILE, SAVE, Save My Places.

Step 9: Click on FILE, Email, Email Placemark.

Step 10: Address the email to technospud (@) gmail (dot) com. Put From Me To You 2008 in the subject area. Put your name, school name, and location in the body and send it to me.
