Materials:

Hand templates for
each student in your classroom |

Markers, crayons, paint, etc to decorate the front of the
hand! (No Glitter please!!) |

Pens or pencils (or keyboard) to fill in information on the
back of the hand. |

8 x 11" envelope to mail hands to Imagiverse |

A map (or an account at Google
Earth) to share locations of received hands. |
Directions:
| 1. |
The front of the hand needs to
be decorated to display information about your location. Students
might wish to color a flag here, a bird, tree, plant, animal,
flower that would represent your area, or you might wish to
take a photograph of your area and place that image on your
hand. |

On the back of the hand, include typed (or neatly written)
information about the place where you live. Please provide information
such as:
* Specifics about your actual location. (important events)
* Mention distance to the capital or major cities and points
of interest (e.g., mountains, beaches, tourist spots).
* Tell about activities and games children enjoy where you live.
* What are the seasons and temperatures like?
**Provide latitude and longitude so others can find you on a
map or globe.
**Or anything else you wish to share!

Students should NOT personally sign the hands. Please use
the area on the back side of the THUMB to type or clearly write
the Teacher Name, the School Name, and your location (state
or country) |

You will mail your hands to Michelle at Imagiverse. (You will
receive an address once you have registered! You will also receive
DETAILED mailing instructions!) |

If you sign up for the first mailing option,
your Handprints must be POSTMARKED by April 15th.
If you sign up for the second exchange, your Handprints must
be POSTMARKED by May 6th.
If you are sending from outside the United States, please
mail your hands no later than May 1st and specify AIR MAIL.
Please realize that we will be sending the packages from
Corona, CA and be mailing all packages by USA First Class
Mail. However, due to circumstances beyond our control (such
as mail delay, custom delays, mail carrier delays, and (grins)
delays in general -- we cannot 100% guarantee that your package
will arrive on time. However, WE WILL do our part to ensure
a timely mailing on our end! Thank you for your understanding!

You will receive a class pack of cards from other
participants from all over the world. If you send in 25 hands,
you will receive 25 hands back.

GROUP ONE:
Turn in Date: April 15th

(hands will sent to be received by classrooms
on/or before June 1st)
