As our troops serve the US, thousands students across the United States joined in a project to write postcards to our troops stationed all over the world.

This dream of this project began after a conversation with a friend who had been a soldier at one time and he commented on how isolated he had felt and how grateful he had been to receive a piece of mail. Even if he didn't know who it was from, it was a connection to home. It offered comfort, encouragement, and an understanding that the person writing the letter did believe in this solider and appreciated his hard work.

This project has concluded for the 2005/2006 school year. However, you are still encouraged to have your students write letter of support. You can follow the link to the address page to see the name of a wonderful company who will take your postcards and package them for the troops.
